Oct 1 - postive EPT test
Oct 17 - 6-week sonogram

2007

Jan 25 - 20-week sonogram
Jun 2 - Born at 8:21pm (6lb, 2.8oz, 18.6 inches)
Jul 2 - After 31 days of breastfeeding, switched to soy-based lactose-free formula to alleviate intense gas pains.
Jul 18 - Daddy received his first smile when he came home from work.
Aug 11 - Began smiling, cooing, and sticking her tongue out at her bear mobile.
Aug 14 - First time Allie successfully turned over from her tummy to her back.
Sep 2 - Began the habit of sticking out her bottom lip when upset, often a prelude to crying.
Sep 10 - Began excessive drooling and "blowing bubbles"
Sep 15 - Began grabbing for everything and putting things in her mouth
Sep 22 - First ear infection. Antibiotics gave her diarrhea.
Sep 24 - Began making guttural, "posessed" sounds (see video on October 7th page)
Sep 27 - First time Allie successfully turned over from her back to her tummy.
Oct 1 - After months of melting down during every car ride, she suddenly began talking, giggling and playing.
Oct 2 - Began chewing on her fingers. Teething begins.
Oct 7 - Added rice cereal to her diet.
Oct 8 - Visited specialist to look at flat spot on her head, and bulging at the sides. We avoided headgear, but kept her off her back/head unless sleeping.
Oct 19 - Started doing mini-pushups, and began pulling from a lying to a standing postion (while holding our hands).
Oct 22 - Sore throat and ear infection. 103 degree fever. Antibiotics required. Sickness lasted 13 days, ending with hoarse voice.
Nov 4 - Overt signs of dreaming: giggling during sleep.
Nov 15 - First tooth broke through.
Nov 17 - Began grabbing feet and toes
Nov 20 - Began eating fruit (organic pears)
Nov 25 - Stopped using pacifier (cold turkey)
Nov 30 - Began eating vegetables (peas)
Dec 1 - Began taking Prevacid for reflux (15mg before last feeding)
Dec 8 - Began eating sweet potatoes. Sat up on her own for over 5 minutes.
Dec 17 - Put foot in mouth
Dec 18 - Began blowing raspberries
Dec 26 - First signs of "separation anxiety" - gets upset when you leave the room. Has mastered manipulative no-tear "cry".
Dec 31 - From raised seated position (sitting on Jodie's leg), pulled to a hunched-over stand.

2008

Jan 4 - Began making lots of word-like sounds.
Jan 8 - Began swimming class and music class
Jan 9 - Began dancing along with music
Jan 20 - Began pinching items between index finger and thumb
Jan 25 - Clogged milk duct. 10-day antibiotic begins
Jan 28 - Began [backwards] waving at people
Feb 7 - From seated position, pulled to a full stand in crib for first time.
Feb 10 - Began shaking her head back and forth.
Feb 21 - Began rolling over in crib regularly, sleeping on stomach with butt up in the air.
Feb 24 - Began crawling.
Feb 25 - Third bottom tooth appeared.
Feb 28 - Put up safety gate.
Mar 10 - Learned to sit back down from standing position.
Mar 12 - Began pointing at everything.
Mar 31 - Upper front teeth coming in. Began giving "evil eye" look and wrinkling nose.
Apr 3 - Began Sleep Lady routine.
Apr 8 - Began eating more solid foods (banana, cheese, cheerios, potatoes, etc).
Apr 9 - Began climbing stairs unassisted.
Apr 10 - Stood, unsupported, for several seconds.
Apr 11 - Began identifying "fan". Began throwing herself into pillows face-first.
Apr 23 - Can identify many items (fan, mommy, daddy, high chair, telephone, kitty, candle, etc.)
Apr 26 - Clapped for first time.
May 1 - Held her bottle during feeding for first time.
May 15 - Stood all the way up from seated position wthout pulling up or holding onto anything.
May 24 - First steps!
Jun 2 - First Birthday!!
Jun 18 - Instead of just grunting and crying, Allie has begun using signs to let us know things (such as "more" and "my diaper is full")
