- Allie's 2nd Birthday was on June 2nd. We had a party on June 6th with a moonbounce and lots of friends.
- She began sleeping in her "big girl bed". She was very excited (see video below), and the first night (and thereafter) has been uneventful. It was a super-smooth transition! She sleeps with her door closed (and the doorknob child-proofed so she cannot open the door), and she calls out for Mommy or Daddy when she wants something, just like when she was in her crib.
- At her most recent check-up, the pediatrician tested her on her physical and cognitive abilities and was very impressed, saying that she can say and understand thing that many 3-year-olds cannot.

- She knows all her shapes, colors, numbers 1-12, and about half the alphabet.
- Favorite things to do are: playing in her sandbox, watching Dora the Explorer and Bert & Ernie (thank goodness for YouTube), do "Arts & Craps" (coloring, fingerpainting, etc.), having tea parties, pretending to do things (like taking a bath, playing at the beach, or going to the store to buy garlic powder).
- At the playground, she's getting really good at climbing onto things and likes to go down the slide in different ways (sitting, laying on her tummy, etc.)
- At MomMom and Gramp's house, she likes to get the mail with Gramps, watch the garage door open and close, and go down into the basement to look for treasure.
- Allie and Mommy took a 6-day trip down to Grandmom and Pop's new house in North Carolina. Allie enjoyed going to the pool, going to the beach, jumping the waves, and building sand castles.
