  • I surprise Mommy and Daddy every day by saying new words out of the blue!

  • Mommy and Daddy want me to use a big-girl cup to drink my milk instead of a bottle, so I've been practicing. (I still prefer the bottle, though!)

  • One day I decided to name my bunny "Hop". So that's what I call him now.

  • One day I thought it would be funny to play a trick on mommy. See, there's a rule that if I want to go downstairs, I have to get Mommy or Daddy to come over and help me first. So, I went to the stairs and said "down" so Mommy came over and sat down on the stairs in front of me. As soon as she sat down, I ran away, laughing, and hid behind the chair. Mommy came over to where I was. A soon as she reached me, I immediately went over to the stairs and demanded "down" with a very straight face. Again, Mommy said "OK" and sat down on the stairs in front of me. And again, I ran away, giggling. I wanted Mommy to follow me, and she did. Once she got to me I became VERY serious and again demanded to go downstairs. For a third time, Mommy came over and sat down on the stairs in front of me, and again I ran away, giggling. When Mommy came over this time, laughing with me, and I again demanded to go downstairs, Mommy finally stopped all the fun. :-)

Nope!
Finally Allie has been starting to communicate better, but
instead of saying "yes" or "no", she's been nodding and
shaking her head and saying "nope" often. The strange
Baltimore-accent she seems to have here is a little surprising
considering she couldn't have learned it from her parents.
Hopefully she'll outgrow it. :)
